Web Development Intern

Isovera is looking for an energetic and enthusiastic intern with a strong computer science background coupled with a passion for learning. As a web development intern you will work under our Director of Web Development and our team of veteran developers to build highly scalable web service-based online applications. 

We seek someone who is interested in the ever-changing landscape of the web, and is excited about what is next on the horizon. We want someone who realizes that a company’s web presence is no longer limited to their website, but includes a combination of websites and applications working in harmony to provide a seamless user experience. 

As the need for a enterprise level web applications grows, we are working increasingly on issues with integration via web services, as well as performance and scalability through better-organized object-oriented code and scalable servers. As an intern you will get hands on experience with the latest version of Drupal (8) which has been designed specifically to make building these kinds of web projects easier.

If you are interested in tackling complex projects and working in the evolving landscape of web development this is the internship for you!

Completed 2 years towards a computer science degree from a four-year college/university or comparable experience.

And, some experience with the following:

  • Experience with Git
  • Experience working with PHP 
  • Familiarity with object-oriented programming
  • Experience working with Drupal CMS
  • Experience with MySQL and an ability to write moderately complex queries

This is a paid internship with flexible hours (about 20 hrs/week). This position is available for the Summer of 2018, with the option of working through the Fall of 2018. You are required to be onsite at our Waltham office.

Front-End Developer (New England-area Only)

Isovera is looking for an experienced Front-end developer to work at our offices in Waltham, MA. (no remote applicants, thank you). We would love someone who can help troubleshoot when what you want to see… isn’t what you get. Our technology platform of choice is Drupal. So, if you are a front-end expert, plus you have a solid understanding of Drupal — that’s double points. 


  • Highly aware of current trends and best practices in web design/technologies
  • Solid expertise in HTML/CSS/Sass/JavaScript
  • Evolving knowledge of cross-browser/platform issues, especially for performance and accessibility
  • Experience with responsive images and SVG
  • Familiarity working with Git in a team or open source project
  • A trouble-shooting super hero — able to take a dysfunctional site and make it look the way it was intended using best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a strong understanding of web interface, usability, and design.
  • Attention to detail while managing your time across multiple projects

Would love you to have…

  • Professional experience with Drupal theme development or Twig templating language
  • Experience with Pattern Lab (or similar styleguide/design system)
  • Knowledge of front-end task runners
  • CSS/JS animation and/or illustration skills
