Ben Baumann
Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer
Ben Baumann
Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer Mr. Baumann has served as the CEO of Isovera Consulting since the company's founding in 1998. Throughout his career as a consultant and entrepreneur, he has founded three for-profit entities and one nonprofit. He currently serves on the Board of the Harvard Alumni Startups, a nonprofit that supports entrepreneurs within the greater Harvard community. Mr. Baumann holds a degree in Economics Cum Laude from Harvard University where he published an acclaimed study on the efficacy of different business models online. He has also studied at the University of Michigan, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, The Wharton School, and the London School of Economics. Mr. Baumann has published in several nonprofit industry publications and is a frequent presenter at seminars and conferences related to nonprofits and technology. Mr. Baumann serves as a trusted advisor to many of Isovera's clients with regards to their strategic use of technology, and has several of Isovera's clients successfully raise funds for web-based initiatives.

Cal Collins

Cal Collins
Co-Founder & Chief Technology Officer As Isovera Consulting's Chief Technology Officer since the company's founding, Mr. Collins oversees the firm's complete approach towards utilizing all types of web technology. He also leads the ongoing professional development of Isovera's technical consultants and systems development methodologies, which ensure that the technical products and services the company delivers are adhere to top professional standards. Mr. Collins is a member of the National Science Digital Library (NSDL) Technology Standing Committee and has published numerous works related to web-based, peer-reviewed, scientific data systems. He has a particular interest in applying internet technology to scientific health research and currently serves as the Principal Investigator on related grants from the National Institutes of Health. Mr. Collins holds an A.B. Magna Cum Laude from Harvard College.

Shakib Mostafa

Shakib Mostafa
Principal Consultant Since 2005, Shakib Mostafa has served as Project Manager for many of Isovera’s most important client engagements. In addition to project management skills, Mr. Mostafa’s in-depth understanding of technical issues enable him to serve as an effective “bridge” between technical and non-technical teams. His expertise includes project management; specifications, modeling, and business process design; database development; web based object oriented programming; content management systems; e-commerce applications, and digital libraries. Having previously worked in similar roles at the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and CERN (European Center for Nuclear Research), Mr. Mostafa has deep experience in developing innovative web-based systems. Prior to joining Isovera, he was a lecturer at East West University where he taught courses in Web Based Programming and Database Management Systems. Shakib Mostafa holds a Masters degree in Software Engineering from Imperial College, London.

Richard Jenkins

Richard Jenkins
Creative Director Mr. Jenkins has over a decade of experience in the field of web-centric graphic and user interface design. Prior to joining the firm, he was a Senior User Interface Designer at Groove Networks (now part of Microsoft), where he was responsible for designing customized interfaces and skins for the Groove platform. Mr. Jenkins has also served as a Lead Graphic Designer at Asymetrix Learning Systems, Inc. where he worked with teams to develop interactive digital learning products. He is an expert in the use of Adobe PhotoShop, Adobe Illustrator, Macromedia Flash, and Macromedia Director. Mr. Jenkins is also a highly skilled HTML and Javascript coder. In his free time Mr. Jenkins is actively involved with historic preservation efforts and is a recognized expert on subjects involving historic railroads and Great Lakes shipping. Mr. Jenkins holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Minnesota, Duluth.

Katie Bolin

Katie Bolin
Business Analyst Katie brings to Isovera a wide range of social enterprise experience. Having completed a sought after fellowship in nonprofit management through the New Sector Alliance’s Residency in Social Enterprise program, Ms. Bolin served as the Marketing Director at Boston Senior Home Care, where she designed their website, increasing its usability and optimized the site for higher search engine rankings. As a Recruitment Associate at Teach For America, Ms. Bolin marketed their core program across ten college campuses. In addition, she has worked with MATCH Chart High School, Bike & Build, and Habitat for Humanity. Ms. Bolin holds a B.S. in Operations Research Engineering from Cornell University.

Sergey Demidenko

Sergey Demidenko
Web Analyst Sergey Demidenko has been with Isovera Consulting since 2006. He joined the firm with a degree in Information Systems Business Processes from Clarkson University. He has played a critical role in a number of projects including: digital library management, database management, search engine optimization, and PHP development. In particular, he plays a key role in database management systems and digital libraries. Digital Library systems facilitate organizations in the curation of online resources. Amongst many features introduced, Sergey has led the development of Single Sign On, Software-as-a-Service, and XML resource sharing for these systems. Prior to employment at Isovera, Sergey Demidenko interned at Dartmouth College Institute for Security Technology Studies. His primary role was to develop and manage a web front to an enterprise level Intrusion Detection System. Sergey is fluent in Drupal, MVC framework, PHP, SQL, and LAMP environments.

Chris Russo

Chris Russo
Web Analyst Chris Russo brings to Isovera a strong background in PHP and MySQL development. Previously, Chris worked for dLife, an online community for those living with Diabetes where he developed a web application to share recipes and led the development and rollout of the site's blog service. At Isovera, Chris’s development responsibilities include planning, customization, and implementation of the open source Drupal content management system. Chris received a Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Connecticut.

Shaun Martin
Systems Administrator
Shaun Martin
Systems Administrator As Systems Administer, Shaun Martin procures and maintains all of Isovera's IT infrastructure. In addition to maintaining the company's business services (email, telephony, PC's, etc.), Shaun takes an active role in many of Isovera's projects, managing customer deployments and configuring and maintaining development environments to ensure developer productivity. Shaun brings to Isovera over 10 years experience in managing heterogeneous networks in Linux and Windows. A "start-up specialist" who has been incremental in building 5 organizations, Shaun has developed a broad and practically-oriented skill set which adds value and helps mitigate business risk from developing and deploying complex web-based systems.

Sothya Tep
Office Manager
Sothya Tep
Office Manager Sothya Tep is the Office Manager for Isovera Consulting and its sister company Akaza Research. Sothya joined the team in 2010 where she oversees the internal affairs and provides administrative support. She is responsible for managing the company's logistics, bookkeeping, human resource, record keeping, and special projects. Previously, Sothya worked as a Client Manager at Hollis Interactive, Inc. Sothya also holds a Realtor license which she pursues in her spare time.

Iso stands for the unbiased manner in which we consult. Isovera utilizes a framework that ensures all relevant facets of a problem and potential solutions are evaluated in an appropriate manner. In addition, Isovera maintains vendor neutrality when making recommendations.
